Well life has definitely been different over the last 15 months and the hubster and I had our ups and downs, laughter and tears!
- We got repatriated back to the UK from Greece via Germany – thanks to Thomas Cook π©
- Had an amazing week in Hong Kong walking miles every day exploring the city π
- Had 5 holidays cancelled due to COVID-19 π
- Virtually attended two Galaxy Cons with William Shatner (Captain Kirk) and Henry Wilkner (The Fonz) and Lee Majors and Lindsay Wagner (Bionic man and woman) π
- Struggled to work from home as my home is my home and not a workplace π
- Walked 82 miles to raise money for the British Red Cross πΆββοΈ
- Used TouchNote to send postcards to the family – really like sending proper post and receiving a letter β
- Rediscovered how much I like Corona beer π»
- Remembering daily for the last 7 years how much I miss my Dad π€
- Hubster has been off work since March, now furloughed and has become the ultimate domestic god and his bread is worth fighting for π
- Realising how amazing my work colleagues are during the pandemic but they were already amazing π
- Crowdfunded several book projects through Unbound https://unbound.com/
- Watched more movies at home this year and would recommend 1917, A Call to Spy and Enola HolmesπΏ
- Enjoyed lunches at the Boat and Horses with a friend π§βπΌ
- Lost weight and discovered new places to buy clothes from π
- The joy of mid-week wine drinking – Malbec if you are wondering π·
- Road-trips to Whitby, Oxford and Wye Valley π
- Missing and remembering Ann, mother-in-law and her cooking which always covered in butter! π
- Virtually attending weekly comedy gigs with Sarah Millican and friends – check out her twitter for details π€£
- Bought a ticket to watch West Side Story at the Royal Exchange, really looking forward to it and then it was cancelled due to COVID-19 π
- Started listening to Radio 2 π΅
- Welcomed time spent with our volunteers and Peer Support Group members during lockdown – real people, real stories, real heroes π
- Volunteered to paint benches at Blackley Crematorium πββοΈ
- Invested in digital gold and premium bonds – just trying to diversify our portfolio lol π
- As it’s October it means my Park Hamper vouchers are due back and then my Christmas shopping will be complete π²
- Managed 2 trips to the Welsh valleys to see the family, missing them all but luckily have technology and skills to use face-time and social media – missing cwtches π
- Pledged money to VCSE organisations that are making a difference to people’s lives π
- Still enjoying crunchy nut cornflakes
- Discovered overnight porridge oats – really late to the game on this one! π₯£
- In awe of the work of VCSE organisations in Manchester during lockdown and now in recovery π
- Fed up with having days of feeling down and working long hours π΄
- I love reading books and must make more time to read π§
- If you like Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain, so do I! Well, I prefer a margarita or two or a mohito πΉ
- Rewatching Dr Who episodes with David Tennant – Bad Wolf Bay π½
