M is for Monjauro

May 2025 saw me start to use weight loss injections through my GP practice for my type 2 diabetes.

I started on Monjauro 2.5mg and stayed on this doseage for 10 weeks, and now moved up to 5mg.  Over 4 months on and I have lost 3.5 stone and feeling so much better.

Oldham’s latest female life expectancy at age 65 is 19.1 years – so giving I am 57, I have at least 20 years left, so want to make the most of it and improve my health

14.29% weight loss and my HbA1c level on 7 March was 69 mmol and on 19 June it was reduced to 53 mmol.

I have increased my water intake and changed what I eat completely, this has helped minimise the side effects of the injection. Back to swimming 3 times a week and walking more as well.

My body shape is changing and so are my clothes. I am quite enjoying the grungy skater look of baggy jeans and oversized t-shirts. I am sortimg my clothes out as I go, some to charity, sisters or sell on vinted! Any money made is going towards roadtrips.

I am enjoying eating out and luckily there are plenty of choices in Manchester to try. Still being social is so important and we love a good comedy show. A shout out to Creatures Comedy Club!

Still smiling …..

Still on a journey, some weeks I stay the same weight, but slow and steady is good.

And new hair colour, although just realised they match the chicken wings in the photo above 😄

Weight loss is now 4 stone and maintaining it for a while.
